Oliver, the Explorer

Lately I've been exploring a lot and finding new places to crawl into, climb over, climb up to, climb through...and it's been a lot of fun. Mom has really been surprised with some of my feats.

Such as climbing into the dryer all by myself,

crawling into small spaces in cabinets and closing myself in,

and Mom's personal favorite is the time I got stuck trying to climb on top of the table.

Don't worry I made it!!

I can also walk down the steps outside all by myself,

and I love wadding up the junk mail and tossing into the trash.

For relaxing I enjoy climbing into the rocking chair and rocking myself.

Life is GOOD!!

Houson Zoo

Today we took a trip to the zoo with friends Lilian and Claire and their mom.

After a 30 minute car ride to get there I was anxious to walk around..

But I'm too short to see over the fences so Dad held me up high to look at the birds.

And helped me figure out what a porcupine feels like.

Mom helped me push buttons to hear noises that different animals make.

At one point the path turned into a slide....how fun!!

My friend Lilian was old enough to climb the rope ladder and go down the big slide.

Claire entertained us from her stroller whenever we took a break.

Ok you're probably wondering where are all the animals that I observed? Well I did try out the petting zoo but wasn't too thrilled with the idea of touching a hairy beast twice my size.

After that I happily watched from my stroller and here are some of my favorites:

Surprisingly Dad looked a lot like this monkey:

We had a great time at the zoo!!
