New Playmate

Well Mommy has officially started her new nanny job and I have a new playmate for four days of the week. His name is Kyle and he's just a few months older than me. He's really good at sitting and smiling for the camera.



Wednesday we had a get to know each other playdate and I found out that he can be goofy just like me.



Thursday we started the first full day together and Mom forgot the camera so we took a lot of pictures Friday to make up for it. We started the morning, after breakfast, with a fun wagon ride around the neighborhood. The wagon is just the right size for Kyle and I.



On the walk we noticed a big balloon up above us making funny sounds as it floated by.





We stopped at a park nearby to play and swing before heading back for naps.





After lunch we played in the kitchen while Mom cleaned up the dishes. Kyle has a cabinet filled with plastic bowls just like I do.



We even found a couple big enough to wear as hats.



Next we played with a fun, musical, activity table.



Later we enjoyed a snack of goldfish together!!



I think I'm really going to enjoy my new friend!!

Working Hard

I've been playing a lot more in my room and really starting to figure out how things work and move and sound. Mom likes to take a lot of pictures of me so here are some recent ones...



I'm such a strong little boy!! There's so many different things to do with my activity table..





I also love playing basketball



and chasing after the balls.



I love playing in my room!!!

Now that I'm 1 I can do big boy things....like read the Bible and study it like Momma does for her class.



I'm just tall enough to check the mail and this is one of my favorite things to do.



Of course there's always daily music practice and I can even play a wooden recorder, in addition to my drum and xylophone.







Another hobby is taking portraits of myself....cuz I look GOOD!!!



For exercise I push my dump truck around and give Elmo a ride.



When my work is done for the day it's time to chill!!



Then last bit of business before bed is to clean my teeth....so I can keep looking GOOD!!!

Fun day!!

Yesterday I had a super fun day with Mom. She called me Linus when she caught me dragging my blankie around the kitchen...not sure why?!



Then after lunch we walked to the library and I posed by a couple trees and had fun scratching at the bark.



At the library I enjoyed puzzles and reading and of course Mom had fun taking pictures.





I finished off a great day by chillin at the pool and even got a little wet with Dad...brrr....it's still pretty cold water but I had fun just being outside.

Elmo Elmo

Grandma showed me a youtube video awhile back of Elmo singing a song with ducks....I loved it and have been hooked on elmo ever since. So of course for my birthday I received an elmo cell phone..



..and a laughing elmo who sometimes falls over and can't get back up. He totally cracks me up and I love to laugh right along too.


He also turned out to be a great partner for piano duets!!



Mom splurged and also bought me an elmo tv remote and a laughing elmo chair that's just my size...at first I was a bit intimidated by such an enormous elmo face...



but soon relaxed and now I love sitting in my cozy chair!!



Elmo is super fun!!!

Birthday Birthday...The Big One!!

Ok, sorry it's been awhile, I've been such a busy little monkey. I'm definitely going to play catch up and keep you up to date on all the exciting events in my life. I finally turned 1 and am now officially a toddler and no longer a baby!!! On my birthday I stayed up late to travel to Grandpa Doc and Nana Cahill's house for a fun birthday weekend. Sat morning after my nap was party time. Momma turned the dining room into a monkey themed party room...



My cousin Lance and I looked super cute in our party hats.




He also helped me unwrap and play with my presents. He's a really cool cousin.




When it was time for birthday cake I didn't quite know what to think....



but I soon discovered how yummy chocolate cake and ice cream is!!



After cake Uncle Kevin helped me to chase bubbles around the yard.



I finished up the day playing with Lance and Ivy and we had a great time.

Weekend Fun

Returned home a couple days ago from a fun visit to my Mom's family in Henderson. They have a big house and I really enjoyed exploring every inch of it....so much so that I lost one of my paci's...:( But it's ok since Mom brought 2 of them for me.

I had a blast getting in walking practice with a small laundry basket.




Also enjoyed riding in the bigger basket.





Uncle Benj and I had pillow fights....



then I relaxed with Grandma and Grandpa Doc.





On our way home we stopped at a park for a fun stroller ride...



in which I experienced my first sucker...banana flavored...my favorite!!



Followed by an amazing car ride.



I love being outside!!
